Wooster, Ohio — locally based
Honest, locally based pest control — general pests, termites, and wood-destroying insect inspections for homes, businesses and farms across Wayne, Holmes, Stark and Ashland counties.
A locally owned pest control business in Wayne County, Ohio — run by the person who answers the phone.
Christopher Watkins spent years on the road working coal-fired power plants, criss-crossing the country job to job. The work paid, but it kept him away from home — and home was always Shreve, fifteen minutes south of Wooster.
His cousin was the one who showed him another way. What started as helping out on jobs turned into five years learning pest control from the ground up: how to read a structure, how to find where pests are actually getting in, and how to treat a problem so it stays gone. His cousin didn't just teach him the trade — he walked him through what it takes to run the business side of it too, and encouraged him to go out on his own.
Christopher launched Pests Aside to do exactly that, and this past June he wrapped up his first full year running it himself.
He holds Ohio Department of Agriculture commercial applicator license #168977, certified in general pest control, termite control, wood-destroying insect diagnostic inspection, vertebrate animal control, and mosquito and vector control. That range matters: he can handle a termite inspection for a home sale and the treatment that follows, the mice in your crawlspace, and the mosquitoes in your yard — without subcontracting any of it out.
When you call Pests Aside, you're talking to the owner. Christopher does the inspections, does the treatments, and answers the phone. No call center, no rotating crew, no upselling you into a plan you don't need. He's building this business in Wayne County, where he grew up, serving people who know his name.
If you've got something crawling where it shouldn't be, give him a call.
